My love for Doraemon is not a short affair.  It goes all the way back when I was still a Primary School student.  From the time I was 7 or 8 years old (that is about 20 odd years ago), I have been following Doraemon.  His movies, his anime, his comics, his figurine collections..everything, tiny and big.

I remembered how impressed I was with his many many funky gadgets.  Wishing that I was Nobita, so that I can use them to solve all types of problems in life.  I am a fan of Doraemon and I admire his many different types of gadgets.  It seems to me that for every crisis, there is a gadget to save the day.

To satisfy my curiosity for all of Doraemon's gadgets, I bought this book:

Having the chance to travel to Hong Kong to see for myself the 100 different pieces from  Doraemon's well-known repertoire of secret gadgets is like a dream come true for me!  I can imagine myself bringing this book to the exhibition, comparing what I see to what I have in this book!

This is not my only book, these are some other comics which I have collected over the years, both bought in Singapore and overseas.

Doraemon collaboration with Singapore's 7-11.  Cannot remember how many times I went 7-11 to make purchases just to collect these magnets (of course, with some help from friends, relatives and colleagues).

The thought of being able to go Hong Kong for the exhibition trills me.  Harbour City, a place, which I have been to a couple of times.  Good place for me to take a break from buying Doremon collections when I was in Hong Kong, a perfect shopping dreamland for my sisters and mother who had spent a lot time with me to haunt for my Doraemon collection.  With this Doraemon exhibition, Habour City will be a dreamland for many many people: a shopping paradise, a food paradise, and of course, a Doraemon paradise for fans like me.

What's more, the  pop-upDoraemon themed cafĂ©, the workshop to allow for creating, designing and decorating own personalized Doraemon figures!  Just reading these, got me excited, beyond what words can describe.

Since the time I fell in love with Doraemon, this is my dream.  This exhibition is the dream of my life!  To see for myself real creative gadgets (as compared to what I read in books), is something which I cannot describe.

My collection (AND LOVE) for Doraemon has lasted more more than 20 plus years (cannot let you all know my age..hehhe).
